Smart Advisor (Agentic AI for Public Safety)

Problem: Public Safety users are creating and monitoring events continuously throughout their shifts. This involves digesting immense amounts of data from several different sources. Related events may be missed due to shift change procedures or just an overwhelming amount of information to process.

Solution: I had the opportunity to work on a new AI/ML feature in our dispatching product. Agents would monitor all event information in the background and surface information to the end user when certain thresholds are triggered. The data generated by the agents needed to be presented in a way that felt as if they were assisting the user and not dictating what should be done. Public safety users saw the usefulness of AI insights but were weary of giving any control over to the system.

I created conceptual designs and videos based on stakeholder insights to problems that AI could help solve within the public safety realm.
